The Woodland Hills School District is partnering with Metro Community Health Center to provide medical services for students through a mobile clinic.

The Woodland Hills School District Board of Directors voted to approve a new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the school district and the Woodland Hills Education Association during its February legislative meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Woodland Hills School District faculty gathered on Friday, February 14 for the district’s first JEDI Conference, a specially designed initiative developed by a team of district educators through the Equity Leadership Initiative sponsored by TeachPlus. JEDI stands for Joy, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and the conference was created to aid the district in its ongoing efforts to erase racial disparities in its schools, classrooms, and educational activities.

Student leaders from multiple school districts throughout Western Pennsylvania gathered on Wednesday, February 12 to make the final preparations for the sixth annual Woodland Hills Student Summit. The multi-district event will take place on March 14 at Penn State Greater Allegheny.

The Woodland Hills rifle team won the WPIAL Team Championship on Tuesday, the 12th team title in program history and the seventh as Woodland Hills High School! The program previously won five titles as Churchill High School. This is the first WPIAL title for the program since it captured three in a row from 2014-16.

The morning of February 5 was a celebratory one for Woodland Hills High School, as seven student-athletes officially signed their scholarship papers to pursue their sports at the collegiate level.

The Woodland Hills School District Board of Directors appointed Dr. Helen K. McCracken as Interim Superintendent during its monthly legislative session on January 22, 2025. Dr. McCracken’s tenure is effective as of January 23, 2025 and she will serve in that role until Dr. Joe Maluchnik concludes his transition from his current post with the Wilkinsburg School District. Woodland Hills approved the hiring of Dr. Maluchnik as the district’s next Superintendent on January 15, 2025.
