On Tuesday May 13 (Algebra I), Wednesday May 14 (Biology) and Thursday May 15 (Literature), we will administer the Keystone exams at the high school. These tests are for students who are in the trigger courses for the test, or have communicated that they would like to re-test based on a non-proficient score on a previous Keystone exam.
On those days, students who are not testing will have asynchronous remote instruction. That means they will not have to attend classes on a schedule, but the expectation is that there will be assignments posted in each of their classes. Students at home will also have to log into their Chromebooks and complete a Google Form that will serve as attendance for that day.
Important items of note for test takers:
- Students who are scheduled to test will only be marked present if they are present for the exam
- The buses will run at regular time for students coming to school for the test
- All electronic devices will be collected while test sessions are active. This includes phones, watches, headphones, tablets or any other personal electronic device.
- Students will be allowed their devices during the lunch session between the tests.
- No calculators are needed for the Algebra I and Biology Exam as the approved Desmos calculator is embedded in the test
- Students who arrive after the test has begun will not be allowed to test. They will have to wait until the make-up tests the next week.
Important items of note for non-test takers:
- Your attendance is based on two factors. ONE signing the Google Form by 10AM (located in any of your assigned classes) on the remote day and TWO completing assignments.
- You may reach out to your teachers through email that day, but there will not be any live instruction that day.
- You will not have access to the building those days, so do not come to the building if you are not testing.
- There will be no 11:30 bus that day
- Forbes buses will run for AM and PM Forbes.
- AM Forbes
- You may report directly to Forbes, or ride in on your regular bus and take the Bus to Forbes
- You may be dismissed directly from Forbes those days
- If you come back to the school, you will have to sit in the auditorium until the buses dismiss at regular time.
- PM Forbes
- You may either report directly to Forbes, or ride the morning bus and sit in the auditorium until it's time for PM Forbes.
- At the conclusion of Forbes, you may be dismissed directly from Forbes, or come back to the building and sit in the auditorium until dismissal at
