Congratulations to the 2025 Woodland Hills High School Homecoming King and Queen -- Scoop Smith and Domonique Brown-Taylor!
The two seniors were officially crowned as part of the annual Homecoming Pep Rally Friday afternoon in the gym prior to the Homecoming football game against Latrobe.
This year's court includes Sonny Davis (first runner-up for Homecoming King), Nijaya Estes (first runner-up for Homecoming Queen), Andree Carrington (second runner-up for Homecoming King), Caitlin Burke (second runner-up for Homecoming Queen), Landon Akins, Kevin Agbodoh, Leo Alfieri, Kerwin Byrd, Calise Cowans-Rini, Aseelah Daniels Robinson, Olivia Davidson, and Jasira Lee.
The festivities celebrated all of the fall sports teams, featured performances by the cheerleaders and band, and included the annual Homecoming Float contest. This year's theme was New York City - "The City That Never Sleeps" - and the seniors won with an impressive design of a classic yellow NYC taxi cab.
The afternoon also featured the annual crowning of a staff Homecoming King and Queen. Mrs. Rehm and Officer Nick were awarded the crowns, and they were joined in the court by Ms. Bellows, Mr. Biondo, Ms. Delio, Mr. Maloney, and Ms. Schricker.
The entire court was also recognized during halftime of Friday's win over Latrobe.
Prior to the game, members of the court took part in the annual Homecoming Parade through Turtle Creek. Along with the marching band, cheerleaders, youth teams, and other clubs and organizations, this year's parade also included representatives from a number of the high schools that existed prior to Woodland Hills. Past members of those schools were also recognized prior to the game. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the legacy of those schools and the foundation they helped build!
Special thanks to the amazing first responders who always serve as such fantastic escorts. And thanks to all of the community members who came out to support!
