The Woodland Hills School District has been selected as a "Child Hunger Hero" by the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank for its efforts to combat food insecurity for children.
The Child Hunger Hero program recognizes school districts and community organizations that go above and beyond to aid children suffering from food insecurity. Schools and organizations are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including availability of school breakfast, summer food accessibility, after-school and weekend meals, school pantries, and more.
The Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank recognizes three tiers of award winners in the Child Hunger Hero program. The Woodland Hills School District was selected as a Gold Winner for its efforts to serve its students.
Congratulations to Ms. Kylene McLean, Director of Food and Nutrition for the Woodland Hills School District through The Nutrition Group, and the entire Woodland Hill School District Food Services team for this recognition!
