Woodland Hills High School students interested in potential careers in healthcare are invited to explore the HSU Careers Unlocked: Healthcare program through the Neighborhood Learning Alliance.
This is a dual-enrollment program offered during the school day that allows high school students to earn 11 healthcare aligned college credits at CCAC Boyce. Students participate in paid work experiences with local healthcare organizations as part of the program.
Students enrolled in the program will spend half of the day at the high school taking core classes to continue on the path to graduation. Students will then take the Forbes Road CTC bus to CCAC Boyce four days a week for classes associated with the program. On the fifth day, students will spend half of their time at their paid work experience program.
Students must be currently enrolled at Woodland Hills High School, on track to graduate, maintain an excellence attendance record, have a positive disciplinary record, and express an interest in a healthcare career.
Students who are interested can visit Mr. Boone in the College and Career Center or email him at [email protected].
